Myrian Villarin
Chief Executive Officer
Myrian Villarin is the Chief Executive Officer of NVE. She provides the vision and corporate leadership for NVE’s success and growth. Myrian founded the company in 2003 as a Facilities Operations & Maintenance and Engineering company. She expanded NVE’s capabilities into additional areas including Physical Security and Program & Administrative Support. NVE has been recognized by Inc. Magazine and the Washington Business Journal as one of the fastest growing companies in the region. NVE is regularly named by the Washington Business Journal as well as one of the largest Woman and Minority owned companies in the Washington DC Metropolitan area.
Prior to founding NVE, Myrian was the Director of Finance at NV Enterprises. Before that she spent 14 years at Unisys Corporation.
Myrian immigrated to the United States from the Philippines in 1971. She currently resides in Ashburn, Virginia.
Neil Villarin
President
Neil Villarin is the President of NVE and is responsible for implementing NVE’s business strategy and providing day-to-day operational leadership. Before being named President in 2014, Neil held various senior management positions within NVE and NVE related companies.
As NVE’s Executive Vice President he was tasked to turn the company around and to help grow the organization. Leveraging NVE’s Small Business Administration’s 8(a) certification he was able to increase revenue, expand the customer base and position NVE for a successful transition from the 8(a) program in 2014.
Neil currently resides in Ashburn, Virginia. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Neil is married and has three children.
John Skyles
Vice President of International Programs
John is a proven and devoted operations and development executive with more than 15 years of combined administrative and management experience. As Vice President of NVE Inc.’s International Programs, he has Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility and accountability for NVE’s International security contingency, operations, logistics, and growth. His responsibilities include direct management and control of numerous programs in over 20 countries within both the public and private sectors.
In addition, John has a diverse background in construction security, physical security, construction management, contract management, international logistics, pricing, planning, and business development.
As a subject matter expert in the Construction Security field, John’s expertise is sought after by both government and commercial clients. He has extensive international logistics and security experience, with worldwide contacts in the United States Government and private sectors. Since joining NVE in 2015, his expertise and global network have assisted NVE in becoming one of the world’s largest construction security firms and the vendor of choice to our clients.
Mayra Portalatin
Vice President of Facilities Services
Mayra is a seasoned facilities management professional with over 20 years of experience in project management and facility management consulting services. At NVE, Mayra provides strategy and direction to individual facility managers. These facilities include 2,000,000+ square feet of multi-story offices, multi-use living quarters, scientific research laboratory space, campus-like environments and 20 other government-leased buildings.
Mayra joined NVE in 2019 after a 13-year career at Facility Engineering Associates, Inc. (FEA). While at FEA, she helped clients with technology optimization and implementation, preventive maintenance plan development and development of performance management frameworks.
Mayra is a leader in the Facility Management community. She provides her expertise through presentations at conferences, writing for publications like FM Link and FMJ, and teaching facility management courses. She has taught at Rice University, George Mason University and Catholic University of America. She has been involved with IFMA for over 10 years through course instruction and as an IFMA Instructor for the Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP). She was elected as the President of the Capital Chapter of IFMA in 2018 and is currently serving her second term.
Dianna Picardi
Vice President of Program Support
Dianna is a business management executive with more than 22 years of experience at diverse commercial organizations. She joined NVE in April of 2012 to manage NVE’s Program Support Department. In her role as Vice President of Program Support, she is responsible for the department’s profit and loss (P&L), business development, contract administration, and contract management of NVE’s program support and staffing solutions. Dianna also serves as NVE’s Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO). She is adept at contract start-up and has seamlessly transitioned multiple contracts within 48 hours of contract award. In addition, Dianna has experience with managing a wide range of corporate operations to include human resources, recruiting, industrial security, office management, and administration.
Dianna came to NVE from Integrated Resource Technologies, Inc. (IRT), a small woman-owned business that specializes in intelligence operations support, security services, and program support to various Department of Defense (DoD) agencies. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Business Management.
With a belief that fostering an “employee-first” culture increases employee satisfaction and results in higher performance and overall customer satisfaction, Dianna focuses on finding the “best fit” for the role and is a proponent of recognizing and rewarding personnel that go above and beyond in support of NVE’s clients.
Danny A. Lisenbee
Vice President of Corporate Growth
Danny leads NVE’s business development organization and establishes the company’s business development strategy to achieve short- and long-range growth goals. He leads activities including client relationship development and deal targeting strategies for a myriad of clients and pursuits. He develops and manages NVE’s opportunities pipeline and leads capture activities towards new business and recompete wins.
Danny has been in leadership roles in the Government contracting sector for nearly three decades. In his business development roles, he has delivered over $2 billion in new business orders. He worked in roles for large and small firms as VP of Marketing, Capture, Strategy, Proposal development and International Business Development. Over Danny’s career, he also performed in various operational roles. He has directed programs in base operations support, facilities operations & maintenance, logistics, facilities architecture & engineering, construction, and general support services. He has had P&L responsibility as both a Program Manager and a General Manager.
Danny served in the United States Air Force. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Excelsior College and is an MBA candidate with Louisiana State University. He is an active member of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and the Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers (APPA).
Charles Bonner
Chief Financial Officer
Charles has over 30 years of professional experience and a background in government contracting, aerospace and public accounting. He joined NVE in 2016 and is responsible for all financial management of the company’s business including tax, treasury, audit, accounting, financial planning and analysis, and government compliance. He led the financial organization through a significant growth period, optimizing financial processes.
Charles previously worked at Aurora Flight Sciences Corp., Soza & Co. Ltd., Litton PRC, and the Fairchild Corporation. He graduated from James Madison University in 1988 and passed the CPA exam in 1990.
Jean Orth
Vice President of Human Resources and Administration and Company FSO
Jean has over 30 years of experience in Human Resources and Administration and over nine years of security management experience as the Company FSO. Her background in Human Resources enables her to effectively provide support for all NVE’s employees. She is responsible for recruiting, on-boarding and development of employees, managing employee benefits insurance, and maintaining the links of communication with all department managers. As the company FSO, Jean ensures that all policies and procedures are compliant with the Department of Defense and National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM).
Before joining NVE in April of 2012, Jean previously worked for 6K Systems and First Centrum Corporation. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and of the Dulles ISAC and Dulles TRI-SAC.
Steven E. Johnson
Director of Environmental Health and Safety
Steven Johnson is the first Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) at NVE As the Director, Steve has created and implemented numerous EHS programs for NVE corporate and business partners alike. As a retired United States Navy Independent Duty Hospital Corpsman, healthcare provider and experienced project manager, Steve has directed and managed hospital housekeeping services for federal military commands. In addition, Steve has led and continues to successfully lead non-federal agencies in EHS matters, as assigned.
Throughout his career, Steve has provided oversight of facilities in the areas of occupational safety and health, as well as environmental housekeeping services for hospitals, such as Naval Regional Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA; Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), Bethesda, MD; and Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in Fort Sam Houston, TX.
Steve has a Bachelor’s in Health Care Management from Touro University International. He also received his designation as a Master Environmental Registered Services Executive (MERSE) through the International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA). His passion for learning and providing quality services has led him to pursue additional training and certifications, including credentials as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB), as well as occupational safety and health train-the-trainer certifications through OSHAcademy, the Center for Emergency Health Services (CEHS), the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM), and the Chesapeake Regional Safety Council. He is affiliated with the National Safety Council (NSC), Chesapeake Region, the International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA).
